Job summary
Virgin Active South Africa (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Manager (HOD) to lead club maintenance, ensure H&S compliance, manage budgets and drive up standards across properties. You will oversee preventative and reactive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical and water systems, mentor the maintenance team, and collaborate with General Manager and Regional Facility Manager.

Qualifications
- Matric (NSC) qualification.
- Advanced relevant technical qualification.
- 2–3 years proven maintenance experience.
- Hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, plant equipment.
- Understanding of health & safety standards.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage maintenance costs.
- Proven people management skills.
- Experience in health and safety checks and processes.
Responsibilities
- Complete preventative maintenance on club equipment (HVAC, pools, boilers).
- Perform reactive maintenance and respond to emergencies as logged.
- Upskill maintenance staff and coordinate with contractors.
- Review guidelines and maintain H&S compliance.
- Manage utility consumption and drive energy efficiency.
- Monitor work standards, security and safety across facilities.
- Assist with budgets for Maintenance Premises, Pools, Grounds, etc.
- Lead the Maintenance team as HOD and collaborate regionally.
