Job summary

Virgin Active South Africa (Pty) Ltd in Stellenbosch is seeking a Maintenance Head of Department to lead preventative and reactive maintenance across the club, ensuring safety and reliability of HVAC, pumps, and building systems.

You will coordinate with the Club General Manager and Regional Facility Manager, mentor maintenance staff, manage budgets, and uphold brand standards and health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Matric (NSC) qualification.
• Advanced relevant technical qualification.
• Hands-on maintenance experience and knowledge of utilities consumption.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on gym equipment, HVAC, pools, water systems, and building services.
• Execute reactive maintenance and respond to emergency repairs logged in the maintenance book.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and upskill maintenance staff on site.
• Manage contractor requests with Club GM and Regional Facility Manager before PO.
• Escalate unresolved issues to Club GM and Regional Facility Manager.
• Oversee utility consumption and cost management within the club.
