Job summary

Old Mutual South Africa is seeking a customer-focused professional to support service delivery, handle inquiries, and help develop relationships with potential customers in Bloemfontein. You will interview customers to clarify needs, document outcomes, and refer complex matters to colleagues while upholding regulatory and internal codes of conduct.

Qualifications

• NQF Level 5 - Higher, Advance or Occupational Certificate or equivalent (Required).
• Experience in customer service and sales environment is beneficial.
• Strong communication, active listening and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out standard customer service activities and handle simple customer inquiries.
• Assess compliance with established standards and protocols for routine inquiries.
• Receive visitors and assist with various information requests, referring more complex matters to colleagues.
• Ensure basic customer data in systems is accurate and document follow-up actions from each sales call.
• Interview customers to clarify requirements using a multilevel sales script.
• Make calls or visit to develop relationships with potential customers and act as first point of contact for queries and complaints.
• Follow mandatory procedures to meet quality standards and regulatory codes.
• Support routine business development tasks following established procedures.
• Identify potential customers by obtaining referrals and information from existing customers.
• Select data from information provided and input into spreadsheets or standard formats.
• Demonstrate understanding of networking value by engaging with a broad network.
