Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Civil Project Engineer to oversee the execution of infrastructure projects in and around Mahikeng. This hybrid role blends remote work with essential on-site engagement to manage projects from inception to completion.

You will lead planning, design, procurement, and construction activities, monitor budgets and timelines, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams. A PE/Pr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Pr. Eng registration is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering project management or site supervision.
• Proficiency in MS Project and CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, design, procurement, and construction phases of civil infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets and monitor progress.
• Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and suppliers for seamless execution.
• Conduct regular site inspections ensuring work meets specifications and quality standards.
• Oversee project documentation including progress reports, meeting minutes, and financial records.
• Identify and manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration among project participants.
