Job summary

Placements24 seeks a reliable Foreman to lead civil infrastructure teams in Port Elizabeth. This hands-on role involves supervising construction crews, ensuring projects such as roads, bridges and water systems are built safely and efficiently to specification.

You will coordinate daily tasks, manage equipment, and uphold quality standards while fostering a safety-focused, team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or similar supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, techniques and materials.
Familiarity with heavy machinery operation and maintenance.
Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
Commitment to upholding high safety standards and quality workmanship.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Supervise and direct daily activities of construction crews on civil infrastructure projects.
Ensure all work is performed according to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
Operate and manage construction equipment effectively and safely.
Monitor work progress, identify challenges, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
