Placements24 in Bloemfontein is seeking a diligent Civil Engineer focused on water and sanitation projects. You will design, plan and implement essential infrastructure that ensures clean water access and proper wastewater management for communities.

The role involves site assessments, feasibility studies and detailed drawings, with a chance to impact public health and environmental sustainability. 5+ years in the field and proficiency with AutoCAD/WaterCAD/SewerCAD are desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in water and sanitation projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, WaterCAD and SewerCAD.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics and water treatment processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop potable water supply systems including treatment plants, pipelines and networks.
• Plan wastewater collection systems, treatment plants and effluent disposal.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies and cost estimations.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Oversee construction and commissioning of water and sanitation infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
