Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Chemical Process Engineer for their East London facility. The role focuses on improving existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

You will work hands-on with production teams to identify opportunities, implement changes, and ensure cost-effective operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and applying chemical engineering principles in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• 3-5 years of chemical manufacturing or process engineering experience.
• Experience in process optimization and troubleshooting.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in East London.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current processes to identify yield, throughput and energy improvements.
• Develop and implement process modifications to boost performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes and fix them.
• Ensure processes meet safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance and QA teams.
• Document changes, create SOPs and provide training.
