Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Chemical Process Engineer for our established facility in Centurion, Gauteng. You will analyze process data, drive improvements, and help boost productivity while reducing waste in on-site operations.

Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain high safety and quality standards, tackling challenges with practical troubleshooting and collaborative problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a chemical process engineering role.
• Strong practical experience in process troubleshooting and optimization.
• Familiarity with process safety principles and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in process simulation software is a plus.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills for on-site collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze production process performance, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and execute process improvement projects, focusing on efficiency, safety, and cost reduction.
• Design and specify modifications to existing process equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with the plant's operations and maintenance departments to ensure smooth and efficient production.
• Prepare process documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
• Participate in HAZOP studies and other risk assessment activities to ensure process safety.
