Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Chemical Engineer to focus on plant operations in Vereeniging. You will ensure the smooth running of chemical manufacturing processes, perform daily operational oversight, troubleshoot issues, and implement minor improvements.

This role offers exposure to safety and environmental procedures, training of operators, and cross-functional collaboration to boost productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in chemical plant operations.
• Familiarity with process control systems and instrumentation.
• Basic understanding of process safety and environmental regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork in Vereeniging.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant performance and deviations from optimal conditions.
• Provide technical support to operations personnel for process issues.
• Implement minor process modifications as directed by senior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures on the plant floor.
