Placements24 in South Africa seeks a technically adept Field Service Engineer to support customers in Soweto and surrounding regions. The role emphasizes on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex chemical processing equipment, with extensive travel across Gauteng.

You will be the primary technical contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and optimal system performance.

Qualifications

Degree or National Diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 4 years of field service, technical support, or maintenance experience.
Experience with chemical processing equipment, pumps, valves, and control systems.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, and maintain chemical processing equipment at customer sites.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues on client equipment.
Provide technical training and support to customer personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
Respond promptly to service requests and emergency calls to minimize downtime.
Document all service activities, including repairs, maintenance performed, and upgrade recommendations.
Collaborate with sales and engineering to meet customer needs.
