Placements24 seeks a dedicated Chemical Engineer to provide essential production support at their Vereeniging facility. You will monitor daily production, troubleshoot plant floor issues, and contribute to continuous improvement while upholding high safety and productivity standards in a challenging industrial environment.

You will work with maintenance and operations teams, train operators on new procedures, and help ensure process controls achieve product quality targets and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering.
• 2-5 years of experience in a production or process support role within the chemical industry.
• Solid understanding of chemical plant operations and process control systems.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to production demands.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze production data to ensure process efficiency and product quality targets are met.
• Provide immediate technical support to resolve operational problems on the plant floor.
• Implement process adjustments and improvements to enhance throughput and reduce costs.
• Participate in safety audits and ensure compliance with all environmental health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime.
• Assist in the training of plant operators on new procedures and process changes.
