Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 2-5 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or production support role.
• Basic understanding of chemical processes, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
• Familiarity with process troubleshooting techniques.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with production staff.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations in a chemical plant setting.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must be able to work on-site in Midrand, Gauteng.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within the chemical engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the production team to resolve operational issues and minimize downtime.
• Monitor process performance and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency and yield.
• Assist in the implementation of process changes and modifications.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations on the plant floor.
• Conduct basic process data analysis and prepare performance reports.
• Support quality control initiatives and troubleshoot product quality deviations.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams on equipment reliability and preventative maintenance.
• Participate in process safety reviews and risk assessments.
• Assist in the training of production operators on process-related matters.
• Maintain accurate process documentation and records.
