Job summary

Tsebo Catering Solutions is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor to lead daily operations at our Randfontein site. You will manage staff, oversee service delivery, and ensure compliance with food safety standards while maintaining high-quality plating and service.

The role requires hands-on leadership, stock control, and the ability to respond to client needs, with flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Matric/NSC is required.
• Hospitality management or related qualification preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years supervisory experience in contract catering.

Responsibilities

• Ensure service delivery standards are consistently achieved and maintained.
• Lead, motivate, coach, train, and develop catering staff; manage attendance, productivity, discipline, and shifts.
• Supervise and assist with food preparation, cooking, plating and service as needed.
• Ensure food prep, presentation and service meet Tsebo Catering Solutions standards.
• Monitor portion control, stock usage and wastage.
• Maintain operational controls in line with site requirements.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and safety policies.
• Address HR and IR matters, including performance and staff development.
• Respond to client requirements and concerns promptly.
• Coordinate catering functions and daily operations.
• Inspect kitchens and dining areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Assist with stock control, receiving, storage and rotation.
• Complete site reports and documentation.
• Build strong client relationships daily.
• Stay informed about food industry trends to improve service delivery.
• Be available for extended hours, weekends and holidays as required.
• Work rotational day and night shifts.
