Our client, a well-established provider of corporate and private event catering, is seeking a motivated and organized Catering Service Team Leader to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on ensuring the smooth and exceptional delivery of catering services during events, leading a team of service staff to provide a memorable experience for guests. While the role primarily involves on-site event coordination, there's a significant remote component for administrative tasks, team communication, and planning. The ideal candidate is a natural leader, passionate about hospitality, and possesses excellent communication and organizational skills. This is a part-time position offering flexibility, perfect for someone looking to contribute their expertise while managing their schedule. You will be a key player in upholding our client's reputation for excellence in Tembisa, Gauteng, ZA and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of catering staff during events, ensuring efficient service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
• Assist with event setup, including table settings, buffet arrangement, and beverage stations.
• Manage food and beverage service, ensuring timely and professional presentation.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively during events.
• Conduct pre-service briefings with the team, assigning roles and responsibilities.
• Monitor inventory of service items (cutlery, glassware, linens) and report needs.
• Ensure adherence to hygiene and safety standards throughout service.
• Participate in post-event debriefings and provide feedback on team performance.

Requirements
