Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant Manager to support the management team in Polokwane. You will oversee daily catering operations, supervise staff, ensure service excellence, and uphold high standards of hygiene across all functions.

In this role, you will contribute to day-to-day event execution, client satisfaction, and team performance, helping drive smooth operation of catering services within Limpopo province. A hands-on leader with a positive attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading a team in catering or hospitality.
• Solid understanding of food & beverage service operations and health & safety standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing demands.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising and training catering staff to meet service standards.
• Support the Catering Manager with daily operations, event setup, service delivery and breakdown.
• Ensure food and beverage services meet quality, presentation and safety standards.
• Monitor inventories, assist with stocktaking and manage supplies effectively.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues during events to ensure client satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment compliant with health regulations.
