Job summary

Tiger Brands in Randfontein seeks a detail-oriented finance assistant to support daily cashbook management, bank reconciliations, and allocation of payments. The role requires matric with accounting, 2–3 years in finance, and proficiency in MS Office and Mozaic.

You will assist with audits and ad hoc duties while maintaining accurate records and supporting a compliant finance function.

Qualifications

• Matric and Accounting qualification required.
• 2–3 years experience in finance preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and financial software.

Responsibilities

• Daily cashbook management.
• Bank statement reconciliations.
• Allocate direct payments to debtors.
• Allocate EFT payments from cash customers.
• Log calls with FNB for unidentified deposits.
• Log calls with FNB for outstanding deposits.
• Follow up with FNB or Cash Connect on shortages/surpluses on bank statements.
• Assist with audit and compliance on bank reconciliations.
• Maintain proper filing system for documents.
• Fuel log reconciliation when truck fuel cards fail.
• Process and receipt of POs.
• Support bookkeeper with Bread & Returns reconciliation.
• Ad hoc duties requested by management.

Responsibilities

• Daily Cashbook Management
• Bank statements Reconciliation
• Allocation of direct payments to debtors
• Allocation of EFT payments from Cash customers
• Logging calls with FNB for unidentified deposit
• Logging calls with the FNB for outstanding deposits
• Following up with the FNB or Cash connect shortages/surpluses on Bank Statement
• Assisting with Audit and Compliance on Bank recon
• Maintain proper filing system for all the documentations
• Fuel log Recon – when truck fuel cards are not working
• Processing and receipting of PO’s
• Support bookkeeper with preparation of Bread& Returns reconciliation
• Ad hoc duties requested by management

Key Attributes and Competencies

• Knowledge of financial processes and bank reconciliations
• Familiarity with financial computer systems and software such as Mozaic and MS Office
• Innovative, self-driven, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving
• Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines
• Strong numeric skills and high accuracy in data entry
• Ability to work as a team player

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Matric and Accounting qualification
• 2 to 3 years’ experience working in finance will be an added advantage
• Computer literate and proficient in MS office (word and excel)
