Job summary

Ligpos (Pty) Ltd in South Africa is seeking a Business Development (Capital) Process Engineer to lead the Process Engineering Department at head office. You will design, simulate, and integrate processes across product lines and mentor the team while ensuring compliance with SHERQ and ISO standards.

The role requires substantial leadership, project execution, and experience in hydrometallurgy and related fields. Travel to client sites for commissioning and support is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Five+ years in sales and marketing within engineering or OEM environments.
• Leadership experience in a technical or project-based team.
• Experience with hydrometallurgy, comminution, beneficiation, flotation, and tailings handling.
• Site commissioning and plant performance testing background.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Process Engineering Department and drive innovative process design.
• Develop, validate and improve metallurgical and mechanical process models.
• Oversee concepts from design to commissioning with performance guarantees.
• Support client engagements, technical sales and tender activities.
• Lead cross-functional investigations and audits for client satisfaction.
• Mentor staff and maintain engineering governance and regulatory compliance.
• Promote R&D collaboration and new process technologies.
