Job summary

Recruitpro Solutions is seeking a Lead Process Engineer to head the Process Engineering function within the Business Development (Capital) department in Gauteng. You will own process design, simulation and integration across the full product range, and support technical sales and tenders.

Reporting to the Group CEO and Director: Group Technical & Business Development, you will oversee a multi-disciplinary team and ensure process performance guarantees from concept through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering (or relevant tertiary qualification).
• 5+ years' sales and marketing experience in an OEM engineering and fabrication environment.
• Minimum 3 years in a leadership / management role.
• Proven experience in hydrometallurgy, comminution, beneficiation, flotation, thickening, filtration and/or tailings handling.
• Site commissioning and plant performance testing background (essential).
• Process simulation software (METSIM, HSC Chemistry, ASPEN Plus or equivalent).
• Willing to travel locally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design: flow sheets, mass and energy balances, PFDs and P&IDs.
• Develop, validate and improve metallurgical and mechanical process models.
• Support business development and projects with technical sales, proposals, pricing and tenders.
• Identify new business opportunities and manage key client accounts.
• Lead root cause analyses, performance audits and technical investigations.
• Drive innovation through R&D, new process technologies, simulation tools and test protocols.
• Plan and manage the business development budget and team performance.
• Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, client negotiations and webinars.
• Own the Business Development (Capital) process within the ISO 9001 quality system.

Job description

Lead the Process Engineering function within the Business Development (Capital) department. You will report to the Group CEO and Director: Group Technical & Business Development and oversee the Business Development Office Manager, Senior BD Engineer, BD Administrator, Product Specialists, Test Rig Operator and Metallurgical Intern.

Key responsibilities
