Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Lead Process Engineer to spearhead capital projects in Randburg. You will lead the process design for major plant expansions, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

With 10+ years in process engineering and at least 5 years on capital project execution, you will mentor a team of engineers and collaborate with project managers, vendors, and construction teams to deliver large-scale engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in process engineering, with at least 5 years focused on capital project execution.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex engineering projects.
• In-depth knowledge of process design principles, simulation software, and project engineering practices.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and industry best practices.
• Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the process engineering aspects of capital projects, from conceptual design through to detailed engineering, commissioning, and handover.
• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), equipment specifications, and material and energy balances.
• Manage and mentor a team of process engineers assigned to capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, other engineering disciplines, vendors, and construction teams.
