Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Program Development Manager in Cape Town, Western Cape, ZA to lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of youth-focused programs for a prominent charitable organization. You will oversee the full lifecycle from concept to funding and impact reporting.

You will manage budgets, mentor staff, build community partnerships, craft grant proposals, ensure compliance, and advocate for youth development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Public Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in program development and management.
• Proven grant writing and fundraising capabilities.
• Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans is advantageous.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of new youth-focused programs aligned with organizational goals.
• Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies to identify opportunities for program expansion.
• Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
• Oversee program staff, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance management.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, government agencies, and funding bodies.
• Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, collecting data to demonstrate impact.
• Prepare compelling grant proposals and funding reports to secure financial support.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and ethical standards in program delivery.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for program participants and staff.
• Champion the organization's mission and advocate for youth development initiatives.
