Job summary

Wild Dreams Hospitality is seeking a senior, hands-on Camp/Lodge Manager to lead operations of a luxury property in Bela-Bela. You will personally host discerning guests and manage a small team across departments while handling admin, stock and maintenance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in senior hospitality leadership within luxury safari lodges or five-star environments, plus strong stock, beverage and reporting skills. This is a live-in role offering accommodation and meals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Ensure health, safety, hygiene and security standards.
• Liaise with senior management on operational needs.

Job description

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on hosting discerning guests personally, from arrival through to departure, while confidently managing a small team across every department. The ideal candidate has led a similarly exclusive, high-end villa or lodge operation and is equally comfortable behind the scenes on admin and stock as they are at the table with guests.

Core Criteria:

• 5+ years' experience as a Camp Manager, Lodge Manager, Assistant General Manager or similar in a senior hospitality leadership role
• Background in a luxury safari lodge, private villa or five-star hospitality environment is essential
• Sound understanding of stock control, beverage management, curio/retail sales and basic financial administration
• Experience overseeing housekeeping standards, room inspections and maintenance follow-through
• Valid driver's licence and confident driving within a safari/lodge setting
• Strong people-management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and hold a team accountable
• Confident hosting high-end guests personally across meals, drinks, activities and special occasions
• Strong administrative and reporting ability, with sound computer literacy
• Mature, well-presented and professional, with a natural, anticipatory approach to guest care
• Able to work independently, remain composed under pressure and take full ownership of the operation
• Contactable references from at least three previous employers required

Core Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the property

• Lead, motivate and manage the on-site team, including daily briefings and performance oversight
• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces
• Oversee food and beverage service standards, working closely with the kitchen and service teams
• Manage stock control, ordering, stocktakes and beverage/retail sales, minimising wastage
• Monitor and follow up on maintenance requirements with the relevant teams
• Drive upselling across beverages, activities and curio/retail
• Complete accurate daily, weekly and monthly operational reports
• Ensure health, safety, hygiene and security standards are consistently upheld
• Liaise with senior management on all operational requirements
