Job summary

Wild Dreams Hospitality is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee operations at their intimate lodge in South Africa, Noordwes. The role includes hosting guests, managing stock control, and ensuring a high standard of service.

The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in a safari lodge, a qualification in Hospitality Management is beneficial, and must possess a valid driver's license. This is a live-in position with 3 weeks on and 1 week off.

Job description

This is an intimate setting consisting of 5 luxury suites, requiring an all rounder and hands on Assistant Manager reporting to the General Manager.

Candidate Responsibilities

• Hosting of guests at the lodge
• Check in and check out guests.
• Stock control and orders in the various departments
• Work closely with the lodge manager
• Room checks before guests arrive

Core Criteria

• A qualification in Hospitality Management would be beneficial
• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a safari lodge
• Valid driver's license and own vehicle
• Must be computer literate and have good administration skills
• Ability to manage the staff
• Have an eye for detail
• Must be able to manage the lodge when the lodge manager is away
• Have a good working ethic
