Job summary

The Recruitment Pig is seeking a capable front-of-house supervisor to lead daily floor operations in a fast-paced cafe environment. You will supervise a busy service team, ensure smooth seating, and maintain high service standards on shift.

You will work with management for hands-on leadership, training, and ensuring fast, friendly dining experiences. Requirements include Matric, 2+ years in front-of-house supervision, strong knowledge of coffee shop service, and experience with POS systems.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Senior Certificate (Matric).
• At least 2 years of front-of-house supervisory experience in busy cafes or restaurants.
• Good knowledge of coffee shop service and fast-paced casual dining.
• Solid practical experience using modern restaurant POS touch-screen systems.
• Proven ability to count floats accurately and balance daily cash drawers.
• Clear, polite communication skills and a confident presence on the floor.
• A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and strong team-player energy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily floor service during morning, lunch, and busy weekend rushes.
• Welcome guests warmly and handle any seating or service requests promptly.
• Brief and guide waitrons and baristas before every busy shift.
• Oversee table turn times, food delivery speed, and order accuracy.
• Keep the dining floor spotless, beautifully presented, and well-organised.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to keep orders running smoothly.
• Handle point-of-sale operations, bill settlements, and daily shift cash reconciliations.
