Job summary

Recruit for Africa PTY Limited is seeking a dedicated Supervisor to lead daily operations at a vibrant coffee shop in Kenilworth, Cape Town. This hands‑on leadership role balances staff management, customer engagement and operational oversight to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will supervise baristas, waitstaff and support staff, ensuring smooth service flow, quality control and friendly, premium service that reflects the brand.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory role within hospitality, retail, or food service.
• Previous coffee shop or café experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise baristas, waitstaff and support staff.
• Engage with guests to ensure a premium experience.
• Oversee daily floor operations and service flow between kitchen and front‑of‑house.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers to prevent shortages.
• Uphold quality, hygiene and safety standards.
• Prepare staff schedules and rosters to optimise coverage.
• Train staff in customer service, product knowledge and procedures.
• Support management with sales monitoring and cost control.
• Represent the brand in interactions with guests and maintain a premium image.
