Tenneco seeks an Indirect Material Buyer to source indirect materials and services for the local site in Gqeberha. You will support new indirect program introductions, evaluate the supply base and drive cost-saving initiatives.

Responsibilities include contract evaluation and award, total value management, cost benchmarking and containment, and supplier management to deliver competitive advantage and meet customer needs.

Indirect procurement plays a key role in the smooth running of our business. It involves products, supplies or consumables that are essential for operations.

The indirect buyer position encompasses many roles, combining several different objectives that are all inherent to procurement, but require a specific strategy.

The Indirect Material Buyer will support the local site to source indirect materials and services, support new indirect program introductions, evaluate the supply base, and implement strategic initiatives that deliver through cost savings, process improvements, supplier innovation, and supplier management, to help gain competitor advantages and meet customer needs.
