Job summary

Signal Cape, based in Cape Town, builds embedded teams for UK businesses. This early hire will shape how we find and win new clients, opening conversations with Heads of Talent and founders and booking qualified meetings.

You’ll own the top of the funnel: research, outreach and qualification, in an outbound role from day one. Hit your numbers and there’s a clear path to a closing role; training and an office in Cape Town support your growth.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 2 years in outbound B2B sales or recruitment business development.
• Confidence speaking with senior decision-makers.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to work UK hours consistently.

Responsibilities

• Research and build target lists of businesses scaling hiring or back-office operations.
• Run multi-channel outreach by phone, email and LinkedIn to senior People, Talent and Operations leaders.
• Qualify opportunities on hiring volumes, admin workload, budget, timing and decision-makers.
• Book discovery meetings and hand over clear, well-briefed opportunities.
• Keep the CRM accurate and up to date daily.
• Hit weekly targets for calls, conversations and meetings booked.
• Share market feedback to sharpen messaging and target accounts.

About Signal Cape

Signal Cape builds embedded teams in Cape Town for UK businesses. We hire internal talent acquisition teams (recruiters, sourcers and talent coordinators) and administrative staff who work as part of our clients' own teams, in their time zone and to their standards.

We've recently opened our Cape Town office and we're growing fast. This is an early hire, so you'll help shape how we find and win new clients.

The role

You'll open conversations with Heads of Talent, People Directors, COOs and founders at growing European businesses, and book qualified meetings for our leadership team. You'll own the top of the funnel: research, outreach and qualification.

It's an outbound role from day one, and you'll be measured on meetings booked and pipeline created. Hit your numbers and there's a clear path to a closing role.

What You'll Do

• Research and build target lists of businesses that are scaling their hiring or back-office operations
• Run multi-channel outreach by phone, email and LinkedIn to senior People, Talent and Operations leaders
• Qualify opportunities on hiring volumes, admin workload, budget, timing and decision-makers
• Book discovery meetings and hand over clear, well-briefed opportunities
• Keep the CRM accurate and up to date every day
• Hit weekly targets for calls, conversations and meetings booked
• Share market feedback to sharpen our messaging and target accounts

Essential

What you bring

• 6 months to 2 years in outbound B2B sales, as an SDR, BDR or in recruitment business development
• Confidence picking up the phone to senior decision-makers
• Excellent written and spoken English
• A track record of hitting activity and meeting targets
• Willingness to work UK hours consistently

Nice to have

• Experience selling to UK or other international markets
• Knowledge of recruitment, RPO, outsourcing or BPO services
• Experience with a CRM and sales engagement tools
