Job summary

Standard Bank Group is seeking a branch-based leader to oversee a Point of Representation (POR) within Personal and Private Banking. You will drive sales and service performance, ensure operational excellence, and lead a high-performing frontline team to provide a consistent, client-centric banking experience.

The role emphasizes risk and compliance, daily operations, and developing the team to deliver measurable outcomes in a dynamic branch environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Advanced Certificate (NQF6 FAIS recognised) in Banking, Finance, Business Management or related field.
• FAIS Representative status.
• 3–4 years frontline banking with sales, service and client engagement.
• Experience leading or coordinating a frontline team to meet multiple objectives.
• Strong knowledge of branch operations, risk controls, compliance and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team to deliver sales, service and client experience objectives while building a high‑performance culture.
• Drive branch financial performance by identifying opportunities to grow revenue, deepen client relationships and increase product uptake.
• Oversee daily branch operations, including cash handling, security, transactions and process adherence, to ensure efficiency and control.
• Monitor, manage and mitigate risk by ensuring compliance with regulatory, audit and internal policy requirements.
• Analyse branch performance data, identify gaps and implement improvements across people, processes and systems to meet customer demand.
