Jobs 4 All in Durban is seeking a senior operations and service manager. You will lead a team of service technicians, optimize staffing, plan workloads, and develop training programs to ensure sustained talent growth.

You will also oversee administration, stock control, customer relations, and profitability initiatives for the branch. The role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and a proven track record in after-sales/service environments, with a focus on turnaround and value

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience managing a technical service branch or profit centre.
• Strong commercial acumen (costing, margins, profitability).
• Proven leadership of technical/service teams.
• Experience in after-sales/service environments (preferred).
• Strong operational and administrative skills.
• Ability to drive turnaround and growth strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of service technicians.
• Ensure optimal staffing levels with appropriately skilled technicians.
• Plan and allocate workloads effectively.
• Develop and implement technician training plans.
• Build a sustainable pipeline of technical talent.
• Oversee branch administration related to maintenance contracts and payable service work.
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency of the workflow: Technician → Admin → Customer / System.
• Review and approve administrative reporting; maintain process discipline and compliance.
• Ensure accurate control of parts and inventory; manage stock levels and stores.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships; drive customer satisfaction and service quality.
• Identify and grow new business opportunities within the service division.
• Collaborate with sales to ensure seamless service support and link service quality to equipment sales.
• Manage the branch as a profit centre; accountability for profitability, cost control, and revenue growth.
• Track key financial and operational KPIs; implement turnaround and performance improvement strategies.
