Job Description

An established company within the hydraulics industry is looking for a switched-on Branch Administrator / Internal Sales professional to join its Middelburg operation.

This is a varied role combining internal sales, invoicing, customer service, stock administration and general branch support. The right person will have a technical mindset, ideally with exposure to hydraulics, and must be able to learn quickly and confidently work across different areas of the branch.

You will be responsible for:

• Handling internal sales enquiries, telephonic orders and buy-outs.
• Preparing quotations and generating invoices.
• Processing invoices, RMAs and credit notes.
• Managing and following up on back orders.
• Assisting customers with queries and building strong customer relationships.
• Processing cash supplier transactions and assisting with petty cash.
• Tracking incoming and outgoing workshop jobs and orders.
• Assisting with stock takes and ensuring stock procedures are followed.
• Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Monitoring outstanding collections and customer payment queries.
• Supporting the Branch Manager with general administration.
• Maintaining accurate filing and job-costing documentation.
• Assisting with reception and switchboard duties when required.

Requirements

• Approximately 1-3 years' experience in a similar internal sales / branch administration role.
• Previous exposure to hydraulics or a similar technical environment is strongly preferred.
• A technical background or good understanding of technical products/components.
• Some accounting or invoicing experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Well organised and able to work accurately while managing multiple priorities.
• A fast-learner with a proactive, go-getter personality.
• Own reliable transport and a valid driver's licence.
• Available to start as soon as possible.
