Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Bonds Assistant to join a premier property firm based in Sandton, Gauteng. Working alongside bond conveyancers and legal professionals, this permanent role takes responsibility for end-to-end mortgage bond registration administration, bank instructions processing, title deed tracking, document drafting, and client communications.
Bond Registration Administration: Process bank instructions for major financial institutions and prepare mortgage bond documentation for registration.
FICA & Compliance Verification: Gather and review required client FICA documentation, tax clearances, and compliance certificates prior to lodgement.
Deeds Office Lodgement & Tracking: Prepare lodgement covers, track matters through the Deeds Office lifecycle (lodgement, prep, and execution), and manage fee payouts and registration confirmations.
Client & Bank Liaison: Maintain proactive communication with financial institutions, estate agents, bond originators, purchasers, and conveyancers to ensure smooth instruction flow and timeous registration.
Financial Administration: Prepare final accounts, statement of accounts, and invoice requests for bond registration matters.
Education: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate; a legal secretary diploma or conveyancing paralegal certificate is highly advantageous.
Experience: 3-5+ years of solid experience as a Bonds Assistant or Bonds Paralegal within a conveyancing practice, dealing directly with major bank bond registrations (e.g., Standard Bank, ABSA, FNB, Nedbank).
System Expertise: Hands-on experience with conveyancing software (e.g., Lexis Convey, GhostConvey/GhostPractice, or similar).
Skills & Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong administrative structure, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to handle high-volume files under strict deadline pressures.
Location: Sandton, Gauteng (Permanent / Onsite).
Remuneration: R21,000 - R27,000 CTC per month (R252,000 - R324,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience).
Availability: Target start date ASAP.
