Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician for our Mahikeng facility. You will operate and maintain complex manufacturing equipment, execute critical production steps, and ensure GMP-compliant operations to produce life-saving biopharmaceuticals.

The role requires a relevant diploma or degree and a minimum of two years’ hands-on biopharma manufacturing experience, with strong adherence to SOPs and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years’ hands-on experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Familiar with GMP and aseptic techniques.
• Experience operating GMP process equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment (bioreactors, centrifuges, filtration, filling lines).
• Follow batch records and SOPs for upstream and downstream processing.
• Monitor process parameters and adjust to ensure product quality.
• Conduct in-process testing and sampling per production protocols.
• Maintain documentation in batch records and logs; ensure GMP compliance.
