About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and hands-on Pharmaceutical Production Technician to join their manufacturing team in Mahikeng. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, ensuring that production processes are carried out efficiently and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This role involves direct involvement in the manufacturing process, from raw material handling to packaging finished goods. You will work closely with supervisors and quality assurance personnel to maintain high standards of product quality and operational safety within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor various pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, such as mixers, tablet presses, encapsulators, and packaging machines.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) precisely to ensure consistent product quality and process integrity.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of production machinery and work areas.
• Monitor production processes and identify any deviations from standard operating parameters, reporting issues to supervisors immediately.
• Accurately record production data, including batch numbers, quantities, and processing times.
• Adhere strictly to GMP, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate in a related field is advantageous.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical or food industry.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and basic understanding of production processes.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and SOPs accurately.
• Good manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
