Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician to join their Bloemfontein production team. The role focuses on operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment, executing batch records, and ensuring GMP-compliant processes to produce high-quality medicines safely.

You will monitor equipment, perform in-process checks, and support continuous improvement while adhering to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus.
• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably pharma or food.
• Familiarity with GMP and basic manufacturing processes.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and documentation.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to lift moderate weights.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment (tablet presses, capsule fillers, coaters, reactors).
• Execute batch production records accurately following SOPs.
• Perform in-process checks and quality control sampling during production runs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with GMP and safety rules.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report deviations promptly.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and hands-on Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician to join their production team in Bloemfontein . This role is critical to the efficient and compliant manufacturing of pharmaceutical products. You will operate and maintain sophisticated manufacturing equipment, execute batch production processes, and ensure adherence to stringent Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality medicines safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment (e.g., tablet presses, capsule fillers, coaters, reactors).
• Execute batch production records accurately, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) meticulously.
• Perform in-process checks and quality control sampling as required during production runs.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to all GMP and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report any deviations or malfunctions promptly to supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; further technical training or certification in a relevant field is an advantage.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical or food industry.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and documentation requirements accurately.
• Good manual dexterity, physical stamina for standing, and ability to lift moderate weights.
