The role requires a relevant diploma or degree and a minimum of two years’ hands-on biopharma manufacturing experience, with strong adherence to SOPs and meticulous documentation.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician to join their state-of-the-art production facility in Mahikeng. This role is integral to the successful manufacturing of life-saving biopharmaceutical products. You will operate and maintain complex manufacturing equipment, execute critical production steps, and ensure adherence to strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment such as bioreactors, centrifuges, filtration systems, and filling lines.
• Perform upstream and downstream processing steps according to established batch records and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor critical process parameters and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality and yield.
• Conduct in-process testing and sampling as required by production protocols.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all manufacturing activities in batch records and logs.
• Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of production areas and equipment in compliance with GMP regulations.
• Participate in process validation activities and equipment troubleshooting.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and aseptic techniques.
• Experience operating and maintaining process equipment in a GMP setting.
• Strong understanding of biological processes and quality control principles.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow procedures precisely.
