Placements24 is seeking a Senior BIM Architect in George, Western Cape to lead digital construction efforts. You will develop BIM standards, coordinate across disciplines, and drive adoption of BIM workflows across architectural projects.

The role requires SACAP registration, 7+ years in architecture with 5+ BIM focus; expert Revit/Navisworks skills; ability to mentor staff; and a passion for innovation in design delivery.

Qualifications

• Professional SACAP registration or eligibility.
• 7+ years architecture experience with 5+ years BIM focus.
• Expert in Revit and Navisworks with plugins.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and construction processes.
• Experience developing BIM standards and execution plans.
• Excellent communication and ability to mentor staff.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage BIM standards and best practices.
• Lead BIM coordination across disciplines.
• Create and maintain BIM models with accuracy.
• Provide BIM training and technical support.
• Integrate BIM into project lifecycle from concept to construction.
• Conduct clash detection and resolve design conflicts.
• Generate 2D drawings and 3D visualizations from BIM.
• Stay updated with BIM tech and propose tools.
• Contribute to proposals including BIM execution plans.
• Support cost estimation and facilities management integration.
