Placements24 is seeking a Senior BIM Architect for a fully remote role, enabling you to lead BIM adoption across diverse projects from any location, with potential influence on Western Cape projects. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in architecture, expert Revit/Navisworks skills, and a proven BEP track record.

You will guide BIM standards, train teams, and coordinate across international project teams, driving digital design and construction workflows globally.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture or related field.
• 10+ years of architectural experience with at least 5 years in BIM leadership and implementation.
• Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks; experience with other BIM tools is a plus.
• Proven experience in developing and managing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles and construction processes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills, adapted for remote delivery.
• Experience managing distributed teams in a virtual environment.
• Professional registration with SACAP or equivalent international body is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Passion for technology and its application in transforming the AEC industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement firm-wide BIM strategies, standards, and protocols.
• Lead creation, management, and QA of complex BIM models for large-scale projects.
• Provide technical guidance on BIM software (Revit, Navisworks) and workflows.
• Train and mentor architectural staff on BIM best practices and software usage.
• Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure effective BIM coordination.
• Oversee integration of various disciplines within the BIM environment.
• Contribute to digital construction processes and workflows.
• Manage BIM project deliverables and ensure client requirements are met.
• Stay current with BIM advancements and advocate their adoption.
• Troubleshoot BIM-related issues and provide solutions to project teams.
