Job summary

Placements24 invites an innovative Architectural BIM Specialist to champion BIM workflows in a Cape Town practice. You will develop standards, lead implementation, and mentor teams, ensuring accurate model coordination and efficient project delivery.

The role focuses on optimizing BIM content libraries, training staff, and integrating new BIM technologies across landmark projects in a dynamic, design-forward environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a BIM Specialist or similar role in architecture/construction.
• Expertise in Revit and familiarity with other BIM software.
• Knowledge of BIM standards (ISO 19650) and best practices.
• Excellent training and communication skills for teams.
• Experience creating and managing BIM content libraries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and libraries for the office.
• Lead BIM implementation on projects, ensuring client/industry requirements are met.
• Provide training and technical support on BIM software and workflows.
• Collaborate with project teams to optimize BIM models for design, analysis, and docs.
• Identify and adopt new technologies to enhance BIM capabilities.
• Troubleshoot BIM issues and maintain data integrity across the lifecycle.
