Job summary

Placements24 is assisting a renowned architectural practice in George, Western Cape, to appoint a Lead BIM Specialist. You will drive BIM standards, workflows, and best practices, coordinating cross-disciplinary teams and maintaining robust BIM content libraries.

The role requires 7+ years in BIM coordination, strong leadership, and proficiency with Revit and Navisworks. Based in George, Western Cape, with opportunities to influence project delivery and digital design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field with BIM focus.
• 7+ years of BIM coordination/management experience in architectural/construction environments.
• Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks) and BEP development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for architectural projects.
• Lead and train project teams on BIM software usage and collaborative workflows.
• Create and maintain BIM content libraries and templates for efficient project execution.
• Oversee creation, coordination, and quality control of BIM models from concept to construction documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors for effective model integration and clash detection.
• Review BIM models regularly to ensure adherence to requirements and standards.
• Stay updated on BIM tech trends and advocate adoption of new tools and techniques.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for BIM-related issues in the George office.
