Job summary

CARtime SA in Malmesbury is seeking an Assistant Manager/Service Advisor with a valid driver’s license to join our workshop. Preference will be given to applicants who have worked at aftermarket service centers such as BOSCH, e-Car, Car Service City, CARtime, or Car Care Clinic.

You will greet customers, coordinate with technicians, discuss repairs and cost-saving alternatives, and help with quotations, bookings, and scheduling to ensure smooth workshop operations.

Qualifications

• Must have customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
• Mechanical expertise and troubleshooting ability needed.
• Strong math and writing skills; computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and direct vehicles to an available technician.
• Consult with technicians about needed repairs and alternatives to avoid costly options.
• Answer customer questions about service outcomes and consult with technicians as needed.
• Inform customers about potential cost savings and warranty protections.
• Assist customers with quotations and bookings.
• Oversee and manage the service center’s scheduling and workflow.
• Manage mechanics, fitters and cleaners; monitor productivity.
• Ensure parts arrive on time and technicians follow checklists.
