Job summary

Placements24 is sourcing a Resort Activities Manager for a luxurious beachfront resort in Durban. You will design, implement, and manage a diverse range of recreational and leisure activities for guests of all ages, leading a team of activity coordinators and instructors to deliver memorable experiences.

You will work with vendors, manage budgets, ensure safety and guest satisfaction, and continuously innovate based on guest feedback and market trends. A First Aid/CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar hospitality role.
• Strong event planning, program development and leadership.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer-service skills.
• Creative thinker with passion for engaging guest experiences.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise and work under pressure.
• First Aid and CPR certification required; certifications in specific sports or activities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and execute daily, weekly, and seasonal activities.
• Lead a team of activity coordinators and instructors.
• Source external vendors and entertainers for events.
• Oversee setup/breakdown of activity spaces; ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Manage the activities department budget and procurement.
• Monitor guest feedback and market trends to improve offerings.
