Job summary

DotActiv is seeking a Category Planner to lead B2B content marketing initiatives within the retail software space. The role focuses on building inbound strategies, creating high-impact content, and leveraging AI tools to accelerate research, copywriting, and ideation.

You will work to optimize content across articles, emails, case studies, and lead magnets, while collaborating with SMEs to source technical insights for marketing assets and tracking performance metrics.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in B2B content marketing or inbound marketing (SaaS/Software experience is a strong advantage).
• Proven, daily proficiency using AI tools to accelerate research, copywriting, and content ideation.
• Solid understanding of inbound marketing fundamentals, lead generation funnels, and SEO basics.
• Exceptional written English skills with a sharp eye for editing and technical accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Support DotActiv's inbound marketing engine through AI-assisted content creation and internal technical knowledge.
• Execute content strategies by creating articles, case studies, emails, and lead magnets aligned to customer journeys.
• Leverage modern generative AI tools to draft, repurpose, and scale content efficiently.
• Conduct interviews with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to extract technical domain knowledge for marketing assets.
• Track key inbound performance metrics (traffic, conversion rates, and MQLs) using CRM and marketing platforms.
• Optimise SEO strategies to ensure content ranks effectively in search engines.
• Research industry benchmarks and self-learning best-practice frameworks for SEO, copywriting, and AI prompting to continuously refine daily output quality.
• Break down long-form content into short-form assets, social posts, or infographics.
• Update and optimise older, underperforming blog posts and landing pages to extend asset lifecycles and boost conversion rates.
