Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Design Lead in Polokwane to guide a skilled engineering team through the complete mechanical design process for automotive components and systems, from concept to production.

You will mentor designers, enforce design standards, and collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and testing to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions while driving project timelines and budgets in a leadership role.

Qualificações

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mechanical design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Extensive experience with automotive design requirements and regulations.
• Deep expertise in CAD/CAE tools (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, ANSYS).
• Proven ability to lead and motivate technical teams.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical designers and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
• Oversee the conceptualization, design, analysis, and validation of mechanical components and assemblies for automotive applications.
