Job summary

Placements24 seeks an Automotive Electrical Systems Engineer with expertise in embedded software. You will design, develop, and test software for ECUs, working on ADAS, infotainment, and powertrain control within Vereeniging, Gauteng.

You will collaborate with hardware teams, implement software in C/C++ for microcontrollers, and ensure system integration and validation while adhering to autosar tendencies and coding standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (BEng/BSc or MSc).
• Proven embedded software development experience in automotive context.
• Experience with CAN/LIN/Ethernet communications.
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR and embedded toolchains.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software for automotive ECUs and systems.
• Define requirements, architecture, and interfaces for electrical components.
• Develop and test software in C/C++ on microcontrollers and embedded platforms.
• Perform unit, integration, and system testing; validate software.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with electrical subsystems.
• Troubleshoot and debug embedded software and electrical system issues.
• Document designs, test plans, and user manuals; participate in code reviews.
• Keep up-to-date with automotive technologies and standards.
