Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, focusing on automotive components.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (CATIA/SolidWorks).
• Familiarity with automotive industry standards and testing requirements.
• Experience with FEA and other simulation tools is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components for automotive applications, considering performance, durability and cost.
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models, drawings and specifications for components and assemblies.
• Perform engineering analysis, including stress, thermal and vibration analysis, to validate designs.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing engineers to ensure components are produced to specification.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of components to meet automotive industry standards.
• Document design processes, test results and manufacturing guidelines for automotive parts in Kimberley.
