ASSISTANT RESTAURANT GENERAL MANAGER

The Role

Working closely with the Restaurant General Manager, you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring seamless service delivery, strong financial performance and consistently exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with managing and overseeing daily restaurant operations.


• Maintain exceptional service standards and proactively manage guest feedback and complaints.


• Monitor revenue, food and beverage costs, budgets and operational resources.


• Drive service innovation and guest retention.


• Collaborate with the Director of Food & Beverage on wine and beverage selections.


• Lead; motivate and develop the restaurant team.


• Oversee staff training in food, beverage and service standards, ensuring compliance with LQA requirements.


• Manage staff rosters, payroll and operational reporting deadlines.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years' Food & Beverage management experience within a luxury hospitality environment.


• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.


• Sound knowledge of restaurant operations and service standards.


• Good understanding of food costs, staff scheduling and payroll.


• Knowledge of silver service / silverware would be advantageous.


• A hands-on leader with exceptional attention to detail and a genuine passion for hospitality.
