Placements24 is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for its Centurion, Gauteng outlet. The role supports the Store Manager in daily operations, drives sales, and ensures top customer service.

You will lead a team of sales associates, manage inventory, and uphold store standards while participating in store promotions and training. The position offers growth within a popular retail brand.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail supervisory or assistant management role.
• Proven ability to drive sales and deliver excellent customer service.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Good understanding of retail operations, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends and some evenings in Centurion, Gauteng.
• Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification; business or retail education is a plus.
• Proactive attitude and a commitment to achieving results.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations and achieving sales targets.
• Supervise and motivate a team of sales associates, ensuring high levels of productivity and customer service.
• Manage inventory effectively, including stock counts, merchandising, and ordering.
• Ensure the store adheres to all company standards for presentation, cleanliness, and safety.
• Handle customer inquiries, issues, and returns in a professional and timely manner.
• Support the implementation of marketing initiatives and promotions.
• Process sales transactions and manage the cash register operations.
• Assist in the training and development of new and existing staff members.
• Contribute to creating a positive and collaborative work environment within the Centurion store.
• Perform managerial duties in the absence of the Store Manager.
