Job summary

Clicks Mabopane is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering service excellence, driving sales and ensuring compliant store operations. The role requires strong leadership, retail FMCG knowledge and a passion for customer satisfaction.

Essential: Grade 12, 1 year in an assistant store role or Clicks Trainee Programme, plus financial acumen. Apply by 20 July 2026.

Qualifications

• Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%).
• Desirable: Degree in Retail/Business Management.
• Minimum 1 year in an assistant store management role in retail/FMCG or completion of Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme.
• Financial management experience (budgets, P&L, ratios).

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager to drive sales and customer loyalty.
• Ensure efficient store operation and brand presentation.
• Execute promotional activities and cross-/upselling.
• Manage stock, expenses, shrinkage and admin.
• Lead and motivate staff in the manager's absence.
• Assist with staff scheduling and labour planning.
• Deliver excellent customer service and brand experience.
