Placements24 is seeking an Assistant Retail Store Manager for a busy Tembisa branch in Gauteng. You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, drive sales, maintain high customer service standards, and foster a positive team environment.

The role involves supervising staff, overseeing stock and inventory, and implementing store strategies to meet targets. Ideal candidate has at least 3 years in retail, with at least 1 year in supervision, strong communication, basic POS and inventory

Qualifications

• 3+ years in retail with supervisory or assistant management exposure.
• Proven ability to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Understanding of retail operations, stock management and visual merchandising.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for staff and customers.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems and inventory software.
• Proactive problem-solving and team-focused attitude.
• Willingness to work weekends and evenings as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in daily store operations and staff supervision.
• Provide exceptional customer service and promptly address inquiries.
• Support sales initiatives and work towards sales targets.
• Help manage inventory, receiving, stocking and stock takes.
• Ensure visual merchandising guidelines and attractive store presentation.
• Assist in training and mentoring retail associates.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and security.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Contribute to operational efficiency and team morale.
