Job summary

Honey Recruitment Specialists partners with a leading real estate organisation to appoint an experienced Asset Manager in Stellenbosch. You will lead the asset portfolio, drive performance, and report to the executive committee on financials, vacancies, arrears, and compliance.

Qualifications

• BCom degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in property investment and asset management.
• Strong financial analysis skills and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• In-depth understanding of property management, strategic planning, and budgeting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee portfolio performance and report to executive committees on financials, vacancies, arrears, and legal matters.
• Develop, implement, and present strategic and operational plans for each property, grounded in detailed financial and market analysis.
• Maximise returns by optimising building performance, recycling assets when necessary, and ensuring effective operational management.
• Minimise risk exposure by assessing demographic impacts, tenant credit risks, and market trends.
• Provide timely reporting on portfolio performance against benchmarks, including returns, valuations, and operational metrics.
• Lead annual budgeting processes and conduct monthly reviews of income, expenses, and capital expenditure over a 10-year horizon.
• Ensure property information, both physical and digital, is current and accurate.
• Collaborate with property, facilities, and growth teams to support property management, acquisitions, and development initiatives.
