Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Area Sales Representative to cover the Pretoria region in the FMCG sector. You will build strong relationships with retailers and wholesalers, drive sales, and ensure optimal product placement and visibility.

You will conduct market visits, gather intelligence, and identify new opportunities while supporting customers with product knowledge and timely order processing. Travel within Pretoria required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Marketing or Business degree (advantage).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, preferably FMCG.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Pretoria.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets for assigned accounts and territory.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers, including retail store managers and wholesale buyers.
• Promote and sell a wide range of FMCG products, ensuring optimal shelf space and product visibility.
• Conduct regular market visits to assess competitor activities and identify new business opportunities.
• Provide product knowledge training and support to customer staff to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and resolution of queries.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated and driven Area Sales Representative to join their dynamic sales team, covering the Pretoria region within the FMCG industry. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with retailers, wholesalers, and other key clients, driving sales volume, and ensuring excellent product placement and visibility.
